Very Merry Christmas

We prepped chocolate chip cookies for Santa.

Opened up special pajamas to be worn on Christmas Eve and

enjoyed one of Santa's cookies before heading off to bed.

They slept soundly while Santa snuck in, ate the cookies and left behind some really great gifts

and stuffed our stockings full of little goodies!

In the morning we crept downstairs to see IF Santa had come?
His face says it all!

Nothing else really mattered after this point.

And I wondered how long it would take him before he started doing

 this...

I'd say he made out with some pretty fantastic Lego sets thanks to Santa, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad & Camp!

We ate a traditional Shawen family Christmas breakfast of Eggs on the Run & Sticky Buns.

Then I didn't see them for the rest of the day because they were doing this...

and this...

and this...

and this.

We worked on perfecting our shot.  Watch out Lebron James because Campbell Hirabayashi is going to be one heck of a basketball player someday!

Oh and I haven't seen Reagan today either.  It's been really quiet around here...wonder if I should check on him?  Nah...

Hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas as much as we did!

Dear Santa,

We were pretty confident the man in the big red suit would be bringing some Legos to our house for Reagan on Christmas Day and so we decided we needed to create a work space for him to create his Lego City.  There's someone else in this house, not naming names, that would love to get his tiny little hands on some Legos given the chance, so a place removed from the rest of the house was necessary.  We reorganized Reagan's closet, moved his dresser and opened up some space in his bedroom for a little workbench.  After a little searching we decided on an Ikea table, chairs and storage buckets would fit the space nicely.

Walah!
Workbench
Chairs
Storage Buckets

Ready for Santa to bring some Legos!

What Does Santa Say?

Brookside Garden

Every year it is such a treat to walk through Brookside Garden during the Festival of Lights.  The only trick is picking an evening that's not too cold.  Luckily this year, temperatures have been really mild and we were able to go out without freezing our tooshies off!  Although, secretly my favorite was when we went after a big snowstorm.  That was when the lights were the most beautiful!

Trushna, Sameer & Baby Aryan joined us this year.
Isn't he just the most beautiful little baby ever!

First stop...trains!

Reagan recognized that this is a replica of the building that we were actually in.
"Look Mom, there we are inside that building looking at the tiny trains!"

It's love, I promise!

My favorite, The Lochness Monster!

Camp's favorite, with sound effects and all!
Camp stared at the frog for the longest time..."ribbit, ribbit!"

Both of my boys love Trushna!  Every time her name is mentioned Camp just goes crazy & the way he pronounces her name is just the sweetest thing ever!  Shushna, Shushna!
