Class Pictures

Per Reagan's request: a shirt like daddy & hair combed like daddy.  He even mentioned that the only thing missing was a tie.  Soon, buddy.  You'll have a collection of ties just like dad if he has anything to do with it.  Bow ties too.

Pretty sure I've got a little Kai in the making.

Red Sauce, Red Velvet, Red Carpet

The Giles invited us over for Sunday night dinner and for once...there wasn't a sporting event on tv.  Instead us gals got to watch a bit of the Red Carpet while we ate some of Lisa's fantastic red sauce.

And we topped off the evening with some red velvet cupcakes.  I found the recipe on Pinterest and boy oh boy were they delish!  I'm not usually a red velvet kind of gal, but these will definitely be made again in the near future.

This was Jodi & Bentley's last Sunday night dinner with us.  They are moving away from DC this week and we sure are going to miss them!

This Face

Sometimes their faces are just too sweet...

Disclaimer - This is definitely NOT what it always looks like around here.
But we do have a lot to be thankful for each day and they won't always be this way.

Ice-Cream & Heat

I found these two hovered over the heating vent eating their ice cream.
So either
a.) I need to turn the heat up.
b.) Camp needs to put some pants on.
c.) Or they shouldn't eat ice-cream in the dead of winter?

I went with option a.) and cranked the heat up for the evening.

I Heart Long Weekends

Long weekends means more time at home with my family...which I love!  It also means we have more time for
Family Movie Nights

Building Legos before bed

Snuggling on the couch

Going to the park

And talking to family on the phone.

Valentine's Day

Well it's pretty obvious who has stolen my heart...
him and

him

The boys were super excited to share their special Valentines with their friends at school.

Hello Underwear...

Goodbye Pull-Ups!  Camp decided a few weeks ago that he was ready for some big boy unds and didn't want to wear Pull-Ups anymore!  We are thrilled with this for obvious reasons.  He's been doing pretty well and is now able to go to school all day wearing his favorite Superhero underwear.  We just have to work on him not stripping down to a t-shirt and underwear in public.

He'll love me for this one day.

My favorite...he tucks his shirt into his underwear so he can see the designs.

Family Fitness Night

The PTA at Reagan's school is unbelievable.  They have something planned just about every week.  Good thing he's on top of things to give us daily reminders about what's happening because there is just so much to keep up with!  Reagan thinks he needs to attend every single school function there is, even if it doesn't involve him.

My favorite event so far was Family Fitness Night.  The teachers had games set up all over the school.  It was a must for parents to get involved and be active with their children.  We had a blast!

Dinner Shenanigans

These two...

Lunch Date with Finn

We met Jeanna, Peter & Finn for a weekend lunch date at one of my favorite restaurants  Cafe Rio.  We're sort of obsessed with it and have ended up dining there a lot!

Finn is by far the best lunch date in town!

DIY Cupid

I've had my eye pin on some things for a while for Valentine's Day.  I'm not big into the Holiday as a whole but I love to get crafty and would much rather make than buy.

I pulled up these crafts, pinned to my pinterest board Cupid and asked the boys which one they wanted to give their friends for Valentines Day.  They chose the one with the glow sticks and I think it's probably the easiest and also cheapest!  I found these glow stick bracelets for $8.00/100 on amazon, they were shipped & arrived within 2 days as promised!  Love Prime.

So basically this is all you need -
  • cardstock
  • hole punch
  • scissors
  • glow stick bracelets

I printed the printable from here on card stock.

Cut the tags apart.

Punched the holes.
Slid the glow sticks into place
& walah!  Donezo!

Now onto my next project.
Perfect, since we are studying measurement right now in math!
