Welcome Greyson Daniel Meyers

Congrats Matt, Morgan & big sister Lila!  Greyson is such a sweet little baby.  Morgan and I spent some time catching up and talking all about Greyson & being a mama of two!  So happy for their family.

Could have stayed right here all day.

Yep, just like this all day!
Pretty much nothing better than holding a brand new baby...melts my heart.

School Parties

Camp joined my class party this year.  The kids adored him and he enjoyed rockin' out with the big kids!

Camp's girlfriend Guilianna joined us too!

Mmmmm....snacks!

Then we were off to join Reagan for his school parade!

That's one happy Percy!

Oliver's Halloween Party

As Halloween is upon us we celebrated Oliver style with another back yard costume party at the Raak house.  The Raak's really went all out this year!  Sara did all the decorations and fun finger foods herself!  I didn't capture all the creative little things she did around the house but you can see more of them here on her blog.
Mice & cheese crackers

Creepy carrot fingers and dip

Aren't these the cutest little owl cupcakes you've ever seen!!! Oreos for eyes & Reeses Pieces for the nose and ears.

Sara's friend made the cake & cupcakes.  Somehow we managed to come home with a whole box of these deliciously scary cupcakes.

Mummy juice boxes

Favors full of goodies for the kids!

Mr. Turtle

Looks like we haven't grown out of the train phase yet!  Reagan wanted to be Percy for the 2nd year in a row.

Look at Spiderman's muscles!!!

Sparklers on Halloween

& painted pumpkins too!

First thing Reagan said in in the morning "I had so much fun at Oliver's last night!" and he hasn't stopped talking about it since.

It's That Time of Year Again

I have already been trolling the internet for Christmas cards and have found so many that I like!  It's actually a little overwhelming because Shutterfly and Tinyprints have so many to choose from...which to choose?  Did you know they're part of the same company now?  This is what our cards looked like last year.  We've used both Shutterfly and Tinyprints in years past.  Love, love, love them both!

Here are a few of my favorite designs from Shutterfly & Tinyprints.  Hoping to narrow down the choices soon & get them ordered and sent out after Thanksgiving.  This summer Shannon from Reel Life Portraits took some adorable pictures and I am hoping to use one of those for our Christmas card.

Which to choose?  Which to choose?
On the hunt for the perfect card!

I won't tell you which one is my favorite because one of them may end up in your mailbox very soon!

DIY Del Ray Inspired Fall Wreath

Warning: This post has nothing to do with the boys.  They helped choose the yarn, string it around my house, crumple up foil and make a mess of the glue...but it's not really about them.  I've been on the hunt for the perfect fall wreath for our front door.  I haven't found anything I really have fallen in love with without spending an absolute fortune.  I figured with the beating our front door takes with all the construction dust I came to the conclusion that I better keep it low budget.  So anyway, our friend Sara has a DIY blog that I enjoy reading & I saw a wreath I could make myself, and not break the bank!  Here was my attempt.  Not bad, not perfect, but really not bad!

Sharp's Farm

Today I played hookey...for a really good reason.  I finally got to go on one of Reagan's field trips with him!  It's no doubt, my favorite trip of the year, to the pumpkin patch.  We went to Sharp's Farm and for anyone who hasn't been there, it was fantastic.  The kids got to feed goats & cows, observed pigs rooting around in the mud, go on a crazy hayride that wound around and then finally went through a raging river, well maybe just a creek, but still!  It was so much fun to spend the day with Reagan & all of his friends from school.

So excited to go to the pumpkin patch!
I never knew buses had seat belts!  Pretty much the only way you're going to get little munchkins to stay in their seats.  The kids are so well trained.  They get on the bus, choose a seat & get themselves buckled up.

Checking out the pigs.

Reagan & one of his favorite friends!

Feeding the goats

This one was really mischievous.  He scaled the wall to get to the nibbles of corn the children were leaving for him.

Trying to be so brave!!!  That's the snout of a huge cow!  Eeeek!

Corn maze!

Thankfully it was more of a walk through a corn field than a maze!  I couldn't imagine getting into a maze with 17, 2 to 4 year old children!  No thank you.

What's this?

Another worm!

New pumpkins in hand!

See, raging river.  Even Ms. Yanti is scared!
