Oh Christmas Tree

This year Reagan is very aware of Christmas and all that it entails.  He has been watching as the houses around us begin decorating for the Holidays and has been anxiously waiting for the arrival of our tree.  Typically Kai and I have driven out to one of many tree farms in the Maryland countryside.  However, with Christmas fast approaching and Husky football to watch on Saturdays we decided to find a tree at one of the local tree stands near our house.  Turns out the trees from this stand came from one of those farms anyway so we really lucked out!

When we came home on Friday Reagan kept saying "Mommy, we need to get our jingles out." I couldn't figure out what he meant by jingles.  I thought it must have something to do with our decorations so I probed a little bit further to find out that our jingles are actually our ornaments.  He knew exactly where they were being stored in the garage and insisted I get ALL our decorations out right away.

Some of our other Holiday decor:

We have a candle in every window facing the street.  Something my mom always did at my house growing up and I loved it so much that we starting doing it when we bought this house.

Mr. Elf the advent calendar. My friend Andrea got this for us as a housewarming gift.  It is perfect!  We stuff the little pockets with little treats for the boys.  As soon as the elf was filled with goodies Reagan inspected them, rearranged them and tried to find a way to keep all of them for himself.

Reagan is awaiting the 10th because there is a little car in the pocket with the number "10".  This morning he was trying to convince me it was the 10th and that I needed to let him have the car today!

Our home...The only thing missing is the snow!
With the frigid temperatures we are having, hopefully we will get some before Christmas!
