Playing Tourist

We had the opportunity to play tourist for the day with one of my oldest friends.  We've known each other since we were in Preschool and spent a great deal of time together in middle school & high school.  We were pretty much inseparable for many of those years.  The last time I saw her, we met up for coffee at the Rocket Bakery and that was over ten years ago!  Since then, she moved to Australia, met a wonderful man, got married, had 4 children, moved to Brooklyn and started up a church in New York City.  And, well you know my story and where I've been, but it didn't seem like a moment had passed since I last saw her because she's the kind of friend that is just so easy to pick up, right where we left off.  It's wonderful to see how well she and her family are doing.  We visited the White House, Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial and Vietnam Memorial and it never gets old!

We figured out...they're only 2 days apart!

Thanks Andrea & family for sharing such a wonderful day with my children and I.  We hope to catch up with you again soon!
