Great Falls Park

 This morning we went to the Great Falls of Maryland and went for a much needed walk!  Great Falls Park is located along the Potomac River.  It's hard to believe that this 800 acre park is so close to the hustle and bustle of DC.  

We haven't been here in years!  The last time we went on this walk we looked like this. . .    

Kai, myself & our nephew Bradley. . .probably 1999?  Just to put it in perspective - the little munchkin on Kai's back is a freshman in high school this year!  

 

 Peek a boo!  Both boys were snuggled up in the stroller for much of the ride.  Burrr!  It was super cold out!  

 The canal has a series of locks that were once in service along the canal.  

 There were several hawks circling.  I assume they were looking for their next meal.  The wingspan on these guys was amazing.  So beautiful.  

 At the lookout Reagan enjoyed climbing around the rocks.  

 Not quite sure how Kai survived in just shorts!  I was frozen and was completely covered and bundled up with layers of clothing.
