Thanksgiving

Being away from our family during the Holidays is never easy.  However, we have a great group of friends in DC that we have created some Thanksgiving traditions with.  This year it appeared that we were feeding an army with the amount of food that we made!  Of course we both have our favorite things we can not live without and then found some new recipes to try out.

Definitely the best looking pie I have ever made!

Not only was it a pretty good looking pie, it was delicious!  I am definitely going to be making this one again!

Camp was feeling a little under the weather:(  He snuck in some cuddles with Katrina.

Somehow Reagan always manages to get some roughhousing in with Steve.

 Poor Steve

On the Menu:
Mom's home made stuffing
Green Bean Casserole
Corn
Gravy...who can have Thanksgiving without gravy?  Not Kai!
Strawberry Salad (Thanks Daniela!)
Broccoli Salad (Thanks Steve & Katrina)
Pumpkin Mousse (Thanks Chris!)

All of us minus Camp & Steve

Did I mention we had two turkeys?  Everyone had plenty to take home for leftovers.  I plan on making Left Over Turkey Pot Pie later in the week with our yummy leftovers. http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/11/quick-recipe-leftover-turkey-pot-pie/

Mmmm. . .good friends, good food and so much to be thankful for.
