Halloween

Halloween has been on our minds for a long time!  Reagan had his mind set on being Optimus Prime since basically August when we returned from spending time with his older cousins.  They definitely turned him into a Transformers fan.  Everything has been about Transformers lately.  Thankfully I got out of making Reagan a costume that actually transforms.  I feel really guilty for saying that but honestly it was stressing me out.  Kai planted the idea in Reagan's head a while back that I would be able to make him a costume that actually transforms.  We collected boxes from all the neighbors and Reagan found plans on the internet like this one and this one.  My fear was that we would spend a huge amount of time...that by the way I don't have...and he wouldn't be able to wear it to school or trick-or-treating because it would just be too cumbersome.  Maybe someday.  I think he was happy with how it all turned out anyway.

Instead of building a costume from scratch we found this helmet on amazon.  It talks and even transforms your voice!

Practicing his transforming moves.

After one of the many Halloween parties we attended earlier in October, we finally were able to carve our pumpkins.

Reagan and Camp chose our designs for this year.
A Husky

and a car!

We invited some of our friends and neighbors over for a warm dinner before heading out to trick-or-treat and of course had a wide variety of sweets for everyone to enjoy!

Proof...the cake pops were a huge hit!

Optimus can get away with pretty much anything!

Cutest Octopus!

Our new neighbor baby Greyson

Sameer just couldn't resist!

Then we headed off to Scary Perry Street!

Wolf Spider, Dark Vader, Retro Superman, Cinderella, Optimus Prime & Bumblebee

This is my absolute favorite part.  Lovecroft's Produce!

Checking out what lies beneath!

We wrapped up the evening with trick-or-treating in our neighborhood.  We have way more candy in this house than necessary and I presume it will take us until next Halloween to go through all of it!  Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us!
