Luckily my brother came over and got us started on the tile. He had to leave about half way through and Kai finished the tiles all by himself!

Don't be jealous...this is what it really looks like to get in and get dirty. Don't know how those HGTV gals do it with their perfectly manicured hands and snazzy wardrobes! This girl got dirty!

Thank goodness, Emilia stopped by Saturday night and took both boys to dinner! Thanks Emilia...and Lizzie too. Then she came by again on Sunday and hung out with the boys while we tried to hook up the toilet.

Isn't this the cutest little vanity? Such a steal on my hunt for vanity combos. Kai was very patient with me and allowed me to return the one we originally bought when I found this one that I liked better.
Now all we have to do is hang the light fixture, install the fan and shop for a pretty little mirror and our bathroom will be complete! Not bad for two-first time do it yourselfer's!

I'm impressed that you did it in a weekend, especially since you had to cut tile. Did you have to rent a wet cutter?
And as for the HGTV stuff...well, Allen had a former colleague that had signed up for Landscapers Challenge. He said that the parts where he's upset about the way it was done did not show up in the final program. Plus, did you notice that they just paint walls, there's rarely any prep work shown?
