This weekend we celebrated the beginning of spring at Great Country Farms in Bluemont, Virginia with the Meyers family. Reagan participated in the Marshmallow Harvest and Egg Hunt.
What is a Marshmallow Harvest, you ask? Inquire below...
Yes, that is a Peep hidden in a tree. Reagan had his eye on that Peep and securely placed it in his basket! Luckily Reagan was at the top of his age bracket and was very successful in the hunt. Next year, he'll be one of the youngest in his age bracket.
Camp observing the egg hunters. Maybe next year.
Ready! Set! Go!
And yes, we let him eat a few Peeps, eventhough they were found in the trees and on the ground!
Next stop, large bouncy thing.
Someone is obviously lovin it!
Feeding the farm animals. He was quite disappointed that the Mama Pig didn't eat out of his hands. I explained to him that after she had drug her nose all over her pig pen that he probably wouldn't have wanted her to be touching him. He agreed.
Baby Piglets...my favorite!
Camp figured that since Reagan was eating from the ground that he should too.
He pretty much eats anything he can get his mouth on these days.
Cow Train! Camp waved at everyone as we passed by. He loved the train ride!
Reagan did too, although you can't really tell from the picture!.
Morgan made the boys cute little baskets!
We look relatively clean, but let me tell you everyone was filthy dirty after tromping all over the farm for the day! I don't know what I was thinking when I put on a pair of flats to go to a farm. Morgan and Julie made the same mistake. We all should have been wearing rubber boots!
Can't wait to go back to the farm for blackberry and peach picking this summer with the Meyers family!
