Coeur d'Alene Park

The weekend before the 4th is probably the busiest time to get your boat licensed but since summer didn't decide to show up until late June we were among all the other Idaho boaters that were itching to get out on the lake.  Rachel pulled her number, 68 and they were servicing number 32.  Instead of making ourselves and everyone else in the Idaho DMV crazy with our 6 children we decided to take them over to Coeur d'Alene Park while we waited.  It was the perfect day to play in the park!

Cousin Burke takes such great care of Camp!

Can't get enough of those chubby cheeks underneath his big boy hat!

 Can you?

Big boys swinging round and round.

 Miss. Mikaela all smiles

Coeur d'Alene has these cute little Moose statues all over the city.  Each one has a tiny little mouse hiding in the antlers.  This one is perfect for climbing on.

On the way back to the car we passed by a little stand that has been in business since 1929.  I had promised that we would get snow cones on the way back to the car.  Wouldn't you know it they had a big "CASH ONLY" sign in the window:(  Unfortunately I didn't have any cash on me and there wasn't an ATM in sight but lucky for us the owner gave the kids all snow cones anyway!  I knew we wouldn't be back in the area any time soon and wanted to make sure to repay the nice lady so as soon as the kids were busy with their treats I scrounged $4.50 in change from the bottom of my purse, just enough to pay the nice lady for the cones!
