Ride the Duck!

Auntie Mari planned an outing for the whole family to celebrate Great Grandpa's birthday.  His birthday was back in April, but this would be the first time we were all together.  I've always been curious about riding the Duck and have seen them in just about every major city we've visited.  Our tour guide was really funny and made our trip very enjoyable.  I have to say it was a great way to see the city and it was so much fun!

The Duck tour begins at the base of the Space Needle.

The Port of Seattle is the home to six major cruise lines with travels to Alaska.
Someday I'd love to go on that cruise!  Sounds amazing!

Mmmmm...clam chowder

Never a rained out game at Safeco Field with that retractable roof!

Camp kept us entertained when the scenery was lacking.

Now for the water portion of our tour!

Space Needle

We were lucky enough to see this plane take off from Lake Union.

Another example of "public art" as our tour guide often made reference to, Gasworks Park

Sailboat on Lake Union

Although we did not get to drive past the original Starbucks in Pike Place Market we did yell "Latte" every time we passed a Starbucks, which means we literally yelled "Latte" at least 100 times!

Thanks Mari for organizing this trip for us!
