Kai, along with many other people that work in DC, have watched he growing trend of food trucks increase over the last few years. These trucks travel around the city, parking in different popular hot spots. You can find almost any type of food being served, on any given day by following the trucks on Facebook or Twitter. We recently learned of a new truck in the DC area that serves Hawaiian food! Kai has been in search of authentic Hawaiian food since we moved here 6 years ago. I took the boys into town to meet daddy for one last lunch date before I head back to work.

I had a salad topped with edamame, carrots, cucumbers, chicken teriyaki & Ginger soy dressing. Ki had kaluah pork, macaroni salad & rice. So yummy!!!

Do they have garlic shrimp? If so, I may have to hunt one down while I'm there.
