When we moved in to our house almost 2 1/2 years ago we were the only section of town homes that had been built in the lower section of our neighborhood. Since then we have had construction going on all around us. Some mornings it sounds like WWIII is happening right outside our windows. Now our neighborhood is in the final phase of completion! The boys will really miss all the big trucks and diggers they get to see on a daily basis, but something tells me that we won't miss the extra traffic, construction noise, garbage, steam rollers, diggers, trucks etc. Oh and the nasty nails that we've gotten in our tires...won't miss those one bit! We have replaced 5 tires since living here...coincidence? I think not. Pretty sure once the construction is gone we will have fewer issues with our tires.

It definitely doesn't appear that we are in a recession or that economy is hurting at the rate the homes are going up around us.
