Friday night the boys and I headed into the city to meet up with Kai & Auntie Marcy for dinner at Kushi. Marcy was in town for a Child Life Specialist conference and took some time each evening to spend time with us!
The boys love taking the train into town. This time Camp sat next to Reagan and I for the entire ride! Such a big boy!
It sure didn't take Camp long to warm up to Auntie Marcy.
Saturday we spent the day celebrating Lila's 4th Birthday! Happy Birthday Lila!
Butterfly sugar cookie favors
I didn't snap any pictures at the party because we forgot the camera and the kids were just moving too fast for my iPhone. I'm sure I'll get some pictures here soon!
Saturday evening we picked Marcy up at the metro and enjoyed a BBQ at the Giles family. They just finished their deck and it was perfect weather to sit outside and chat. It was so nice to finally meet and visit with Lisa's parents.
The kids enjoyed running through the sprinklers and filling up balloons to make silly creatures.
Or if you are Camp, pump...bite...pop!

Sis in law hugs!
Kai came in at around 12:30 or 1 in the morning on Sunday telling me that Mari's water had broke. I of course, was up for quite a while afterward worried and concerned, just praying that everything would go okay! Thank goodness I had Marcy there Sunday with me to get the play by play text messages from Grandma Nancy as Mari's labor progressed!
We headed into town to pick up Marcy for her sleep over and took a little detour to do some shopping in Georgetown.
Marcy picked up a delish chocolate chip cookie from Dean and Deluca for the boys to share.
You can tell she's the auntie!
Oh and by the way...the hat pictured will show up in many more posts to come, I'm sure of it. Camp is obsessed with the hat Aunite Allison bought him last summer. He has even been known to sleep with it.
I was kicked out of the room while Marcy and Reagan played Legos. Reagan actually looked at me at one point and goes "Okay mom, you can leave now." Sigh...it probably won't be the last time he asks me to leave his room!
Sunday night we headed to my brother's for another BBQ. Marcy is certainly brave...I guess you can tell she has a child because it didn't even phase her when Camp started feeding her strawberries and whip cream from his plate with his hands!
It is always nice to catch up with my brother. Life is super busy and we don't make it over there often enough for visits. The boys love seeing their cousins and learn something new each time we go. This time, Reagan learned how to blow up water balloons in the bathroom sink. Now he is dying to run off to Target to get a supply of his own water balloons.
Monday morning we went on a super long walk through Wheaton Regional ending at the playground and sand pit.
Since it was Memorial Day we really wanted to do something in DC to celebrate those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We were leery as we thought there might be massive crowds but made our way downtown anyway. We checked out the Jefferson Monument before taking Marcy off to the airport.
It was so sticky and hot we only made it to one monument before the kids began to melt.
Although Marcy's visit was very short it was wonderful having her here! I am really looking forward to spending more time with her this summer when we visit Washington.
Counting down the days until we get to spend time with family! 9 1/2 days of school left, 4 weekends and then we'll be home bound for an entire month...or more!
