For Father's Day Kai decided against golfing (shocker) and we spent the day together as a family. He probably figures he'll have plenty of time for golfing while we are away this summer! We decided to venture up to Baltimore for the 200th celebration of the war of 1812. There were Navy boats lining the harbor and an airshow including the Blue Angels. We went up with the Graves family, including Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Jay.
We took a bus from downtown Baltimore to Locust Point to tour some of the Navy ships.

The USS Fort McHenry
I wouldn't have believed that waiting in line for 40 minutes with a 5, 2 and 1 year old would be worth it...but it so was! The tour was as follows...
We climbed up...and up...
and up...all the way to the top of the ship!
Our tour guide
We even got to see where the captain sits!
Then there were Marines & Navy men aboard to show us some of their different vehicles and guns.
Seriously this vehicle was enormous!!!
And they let these wacky little boys climb aboard.
Innocent enough
until he gets his little hands all over the buttons on the inside! I'm sure when they got in to turn it back on all sorts of wild and crazy things started happening!
They love their daddy!
Scary
What is it with boys and guns? Look how happy he is!
After touring the ship we headed over to Fort McHenry for a picnic and airshow.
Poor Bentley was just trying to catch a few zzzzzz's
