We celebrated Camp's 2nd birthday on 3/17/12, the theme being (you guessed it) "Sports". His party was held at the Rockville Sports Complex which is set up to accomodate 'sporting' activities (soccer and basketball for the birthday boy and guests) as well as party activities (food, beverages, etc). Although the basketball hoops were lowered, Camp needed a little assistance with shooting hoops, but he definitely has the 'form'.
Some of the 'green' team members discussing the best way to sit on a basketball!
Camp with mommy and friend, Caden with his mommy, Jess.
Group photo at the end of the sporting activities (well, most of them).
One of Camp's favorite foods = pizza! Pizza, chips and juice was served to Camp and his friends while the daddies and mommies ate sub sandwiches. Specially made birthday cupcakes were served after singing "Happy Birthday" to the little guy.
Opening birthday presents with the aid of big brother, Reagan, at home after the party -
"I love to horse around with Daddy"
Admiring the start of the blooming of cherry blossoms near the Capital....
Couldn't pass up this photo op with Mr Reagan (3/19/12)
Or this one at a fountain near the Capital
Our first DC adventure was exploring the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum on 3/19/12.
Reagan got to sit in a 'luxury' suite in one of the early jets used to fly the POTUS around the country.
Reagan could have spent hours viewing the different types of aircraft (#100) with this interactive module.
And Grandma could have spent all day taking photos of all of the aircraft in the museum!
Lunch at Mickey D's at the Museum before finishing our adventure at the museum -
No excursion into DC can be completed without stopping at the Smithsonian Building Museum and their 'Lego' exhibit. We walked from the National Air and Space Museum to the Building Museum and as we approached the 2nd museum of the day, Reagan exclaimed "Good job, Grandma. You found it!" (Thanks for the vote of confidence, Reagan!)
Love the two versions of Camp - sleeping like an angel
And - ready to pounce at a moment's notice!
Bath time - exotic green bath water....
On our 2nd adventure into DC we spent the morning at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History (3/21/12)
One on one time with Camp - walking to the neighborhood park with the ball given to him from cousin, Madison
and playing on the climbing structures at the park
Later that same day, we revisited the playground park with Reagan! Going to the park is a favorite activity - so close and so much fun!
Reagan and I decided to visit the Wheaton Regional Park (3/23/12) and instead of driving, Reagan rode his bicycle and I walked. The trail to the park winds through the woods and is a great bike ride distance from home.
Reagan loves to climb
and climb
and climb...
Of course, playing with trains is always a must -
and trying to hide from Grandma is a lot of fun too!
On Saturday, 3/24/12, we headed to Port Discovery - The Children's Museum in Baltimore with the Giles' family (Tom, Lisa, Max and Ava). Ava and Camp found a variety of activities in the Tot Trails room. (Camp did actually play with something other than the balls)
Max and Reagan joined Ava and Camp playing at the sand table
Everyone's favorite - WATER
Inside the Bubble Hoop
A photo op with Clifford, The Big Red Dog
Ava and Camp in the Studio Workshop (art projects)
Buying groceries at the Royal Farms Convenience St
Another excursion to DC - this time to see the cherry blossom trees around the tidal basin (3/25/12) - Strolling along the path

Wonderful memories and adventures with Reagan and Camp - March 2012
Thanks Grandma for sharing such a special week with the boys! They sure are going to miss you!
