Monuments Oh My!

We had a lazy day at home and dinner with the early birds so we could go into the city and see the monuments at night.  We've seen the monuments a hundred times but it never gets old.  We all wore our sneakers and prepared for a long walk and by the end we had all earned ourselves a stop at Pinkberry for frozen yogurt on the way home!!!

On the home front the boys played on their new acquired jungle gym, Uncle Simon.  He no longer has a need to go to the gym.

Even Isabella got in on the action!

Poor, poor Isabella!

Some quiet time.  Simon has a way of getting the boys all riled up but can also get them calmed pretty easy as well.

Mari and Simon took Reagan for a little trip to Target to pick out his Birthday present since they won't be here for it.  What a lucky guy!  He got a new Lego set complete with a Police vehicle, get away car and cave.  There's a story behind all the pieces as they're part of the Lego City set, which Reagan is convinced he needs the whole city!

Uncle Simon helped Reagan put together his new set.
Thank you Uncle Simon & Auntie Mari!

We walked from one end to the other viewing the Jefferson, Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr., Washington, World War II, Lincoln and Vietnam Monuments and Memorials.

He promised he'd hold my hand if he was allowed out of the stroller and I fell for it every time.

Jefferson Memorial

every time...do you see Mommy's hand?

Roosevelt Memorial

There were about 100 of these little benches along the Roosevelt Memorial and he had to sit in every...single...one...

From the Lincoln to the Washington Monument
Sadly I couldn't quite get the settings on the camera just right because it was a perfectly beautiful night and the pictures don't reflect the beautiful view from the Lincoln.
