I sent this picture to Lisa because a typical day at the park leaves us exhausted trying to keep track of the kids. Wheaton regional recently renovated the park and although it has some amazing features the design plan did not keep parent sanity in mind. There are many opportunities for children to disappear out of sight especially when you are responsible for watching children of different abilities/ages. Today we were there alone!
Our stay didn't last long...right after I took Camp off the whale he fell climbing up some stairs to go down a slide. He hit his lip and immediately it starting bleeding. Cuts in the mouth always bleed so much more and I could t quite tell what was going on. As I wiped his face clean I realized his teeth had gone through his lip. I quickly got Reagan back in the stroller and we headed for home. Sadly Camp cried and whimpered the entire way home which made Reagan very nervous and worried for Camp. Luckily by the time we got home the bleeding was under control & I was able to get a better look at his cut. Thank goodness he didn't need stitches.
Don't worry he wasn't harmed in the process of taking his picture. He was more upset that I wouldn't hand over my phone.
See not so bad!
I did call the dentist however because his upper gums were bleeding, swollen & bruised. We got him all checked out and everything looked just fine, no loose teeth. We just have to watch for discoloration of his tooth. Let's hope nothing changes!

Leaving the dentist with his loot.

Self portrait showing off his hurt lip.
So our morning plans were changed a bit with a quick run to the dentist but we still managed to have a great day. Honestly, I could really get used to this gig...sigh...
