Husky Football

Husky football is a big deal around here...and by around here I mean in this house.

It all starts on Friday when we all dress in our purple and gold for school/work.
We hang our flag on Saturday mornings.

A few weeks ago Kai got another flag pole so that we can hang our American flag and our Husky flag at the same time.  When we drive Camp to daycare he's noticing that many other houses have a red, white and blue flag just like ours.  But he wants to know why the Husky flag doesn't fly every day of the week and why other houses don't have Husky flags just like ours.

We obsess over what appetizers we're going to make for the game.

We invite other Husky fans over to join us for the games...barring the game isn't on too late and all our little friends can attend.

This last weekend we celebrated the first televised Husky football game with some of our friends. It's so much fun having friends here to enjoy the games with.  I'm thinking this is going to be a good year to be a Husky!
We started our morning off Seattle style with some Starbucks and Top Pot apple fritters.  (The apple fritters at Starbucks are supposedly from Top Pot...that's what I heard & I'm & I'm stickin to it.  I like to think they're flown all over because they're so fantastic!)

Within moments of the game starting we spotted this wild fan in the stands.  No...not the man in yellow with Jazz hands...but rather, our very own Grandma Nancy!
The boys were pretty impressed that their Grandma Nancy was on tv!

Go Dawgs!
