Day 48: Silverwood

We packed up the kids and headed to Silverwood for the day.  Our plan was to go to the waterpark first then hit up the roller coasters and other rides in the afternoon, leave around 7 and let the big kids have some time to ride all the rides without the little ones.  Well our plan went really well, so well that we pretty much shut the place down!  We caught the last train ride for the evening and didn't leave until almost 10:00!  Wowza!  AND the bonus...we left without any major incidences...only one bee sting (Reagan's first) and one minor melt down the whole day!  That was with a 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11 and 14 year old!  I'd say we had a pretty fantastic day!  I can't wait to go back again next year!

We stopped on the way and picked us up some hats.  I wasn't excited of the prospect of being in the sun all day without something to protect my head.  Oh and the fact that I hate wet hair and mine isn't long enough to go in a ponytail or anything of the sort.

You can't see all the munchkins but there are 2 more in the back and 3 others in another car!

Mikaela getting ready to enjoy some fun at Boulder Beach.

This guy too!

Camp fell asleep at the water park and enjoyed a little snooze back in the stroller.  We took turns going in the water with the other kids while he napped.

All the big boys riding the first roller coaster.

Shawen & Mikaela

Mahala & Kjirsten took Camp

As you can see he was pretty happy about his ride!

The cousins!

All the cousins (minus Annelies) Mahala (11), Camp (2), Mikaela (4), Burke (9), Reagan (5), Croft (7) Shawen (14) and Tristan (6)

Froggy ride

This guy isn't quite tall enough for some of the rides and had to sit out on a few.  He didn't mind too much as long as he had some of his sippie.  Yep, the most expensive cup I've ever bought.  However, it came in handy as you could stop and get as many refills as you wanted.  We must have filled that thing at least 10 times since all the cousins were sharing.

Up, up and away!

Nom...nom...cotton candy!

This ride left mommy feeling a bit ill.  Reagan described it best "It makes my hips feel a little funny."  I don't know about my hips but it sure turned my tummy a few times!

One of my favorites!

Burke, Mikaela, Reagan & my sis Rachel

Our driver, Tristan

So serious behind the wheel.

The best picture I got from our late night train ride.  Jenny, Mikaela, Camp and I.  Burrr...it sure does get cold there at night.  So glad we brought along sweatshirts.

We really enjoyed spending time at Silverwood with my sisters and their children.  I'm looking forward to our trip next year and pretty much expect that we'll see the park close down once again!
