Day 64: Getting Organized

It's the name of the game!  This is all I've done since I've been home.  I'm not going to lie...I sort of like it!  "To do" lists galore.  I'm sure it's not a surprise to many of you who know me.  I've been known to make a list or two to accomplish.

Let's see what did I do?

  • Unpacked everything and even put the bags back in storage
  • Trader Joes (twice)
  • Giant
  • Target
  • Costco
  • Nordstrom
  • Teacher Store
  • Plane Jane (got my hair cut!)
  • Laundry
  • Organized all the boys supplies for school & daycare
  • Prepared 2 crock pot meals for the freezer for Wednesday nights (Wednesday nights are sort of awful because it's my late night at work & having prepared meals is always a must!)
Crazy?  Maybe, but I'll feel much better the rest of the week knowing I don't need to run any errands after being at work all day.  We want the transition back to school to be as smooth as possible for the boys.  Wish us luck!

Got the idea and recipes from a really cute blog
Check it out!

Per Kai's request

Had to make room in the freezer for my freezer meals and had some frozen chocolate chip cookies...so why not?  An idea I got from my friend Jodi.  Every time we go to her house for dinner she whips out these fresh cookies.  All she does is makes the dough ahead of time, using an ice-cream scoop she scoops them into little balls, places them in a freezer bags and when she has guests over... wallah!  Fresh homemade cookies!  Genius!  I tried it and it really does work.
