Sadly Kai's vacation time has come to an end and we have to take him to the airport. We've had a great time with him here and we've done a lot of stuff! I wouldn't be honest if I didn't admit that I'm nervous and scared to do this without him. We won't see him other than on skype or facetime for just a little over a month! I can't remember the last time we went this long without being together and certainly the boys haven't gone long stretches of time without their dad. I keep thinking to myself that families do this all the time and we'll be able to get through it... after all it was my choice to stay in Washington for the summer and we are going to have SO MUCH FUN being here. We love you Kai and sure are gonna miss you!
Before jetting out of here we ate breakfast at Skyway Cafe. It is a yummy little restaurant at Felts Field which used to serve as Spokane's only airport back in the day.

After dropping off Kai at the airport we took the kids back downtown to the airport for round 2 of old fashion fun! My cousin Katie and her family arrived in town and asked us to meet her. Why not? You can never have too much fun, can you?

Reagan finally got the golden ring!
Which means we'll be going back to the carousel again this summer because he got a free ticket! Wahoo!!!
And of course you can't leave downtown without shaved ice. Does it seem like groundhog day?
One of the things I promised Reagan was that we could sleep in a tent. Aunt Joan (my mom's twin sister) is having her family reunion at our lake cabin and allowed us to crash their party so we decided to pitch a tent and join the fun.
