Day 33: Oldies But Goodies

My oldest friend Cherie, her sister Angie and their kiddos came out to join us at the lake for the day.  It was just like old times.  Her parents, Jim and Cindy joined us as well!  It is so much fun to see how much all of our kids have grown since the last time we saw them.  They brought out their boat and taught me a new trick!  Surfing!  I was able to get up but boy oh boy was it tiring and fun all at the same time!

He was so proud of himself for sneaking onto the dock without a life jacket but knew he'd better get back to shore before he got into too much trouble!

C'mon Cherie help us push him in!

Maybe a little shove wouldn't hurt.

How about a little help from little brother Tristan?

Finally!

Victory!

So this is the surfing I was talking about.  Eventually, if you're skilled enough you drop the rope and ride the wake from behind the boat.

I'm smiling but it sure was challenging!

Angie's so good she even has time to fix her hair!

Old friends!

A nakey bike ride?  Why not!

So glad we all had the change to get together this summer.  We really enjoyed our visit with Cherie & Angie's family.  We're going to have to make it an annual event!
