Day 25: Roughin It

So I haven't slept in a tent in years and it wasn't that bad until the morning.  Holy moly did I pick the wrong spot for our tent!  It was good in theory...right next to the water, near a tree that would provide shade.  Wrong.  We woke up as the sun rose and within moments our tent turned into a super swampy inferno.  I was so hot my moving around ended up waking up the boys!   Eeeeks!  Luckily I wasn't the only one awake so we just started our day a bit earlier than anticipated.

The boys didn't seem to be bothered by the heat, snoozing away.  What I love is that we used these old sleeping bags when I was little!  It's hard to believe that they've been around for 30+ years!

When there's sun it's hard to stay outta the water!
Camp's first tube ride.

Uncle Gary recreated a treasure hunt for the kids.  We did a treasure hunt every year at our family reunions when we were kids.  It was so much fun to see our children run from clue to clue searching for the treasure!

On the chase!

Nom...nom...Uncle Scott and Reagan sharing popcorn balls from the treasure hunt.

Another one of the things that Reagan has been asking to do is to go fishing.  He was invited to go out for an evening fishing trip with my cousins husbands, Mark and Levi.  It was so nice of them to include him!  They were out past dark and apparently things in the boat got pretty quiet when Reagan fell asleep on the way back.  I've never heard him say "I'm tired" and when he got back he curled up and I barely got him in his jammies before he fell asleep.  Oh and the tent had been moved to a much better location in hopes that we won't be waking up as early in the morning!  We'll see!
