Day 31: Softball

All work and no play...Well at some point I had to sit down and do some homework!  I'm taking a course this summer and the remainder of the work needs to be completed and submitted online.  I couldn't really afford to have another day of play without completing some of the work. 

So as I did this...

Then it was off to my niece, Mahala's softball game!  Her team has been playing softball all summer and they've been doing really well.  I really wanted to go to one of her games.  I wasn't sure how the boys would handle being at a game for hours and hours but took my chances anyway. 

It reminded me so much of when I was a kid.  Rachel and I played on separate softball teams for years before joining a traveling team.  It was so much fun!  It's really fun for me to see Mahala having some of those same experiences. 

It didn't take the boys all of 2.5 seconds to start getting dirty! 

Unfortunately Mahala's game was cut short by some very close thunder and lightening!  They were ahead in the game and just rescheduled the rest of the innings for another day.
